I am the author of two books: Holy Communion The Blessing That Heals and Diary Of A Painted Lady. I am a micro-church co- lay pastor with my husband. I have served the body of Christ in various positions over four decades. I have served as worship leader and choir member. As Sunday School, Women’s Ministry, and Children’s Church teacher. As Youth Ministry Assistant. I’ve served in nursing home, hospital, and home bound ministry. I’ve served as Vacation Bible School Coordinator and Sunday School Superintendent. I’ve lead workshops on Leadership in Missions Programs. I’ve spoken in various spiritual settings. I have volunteered in Clothes Closet Ministry. I have volunteered in the Wilfork Foundation Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway in the community. I have coordinated feeding the volunteers from the Rebuilding Together organization in the community who provide their services repairing or remodeling the homes of the elderly and low income families in the community. I have served as Deaconess beside my husband in his role as Deacon. I am also a children’s book author.
About my book: Holy Communion The Blessing That Heals
My book takes you on a scriptural journey discovering and reaffirming God’s nature concerning our healing. It helps you discover the true meaning for partaking in Holy Communion. It helps you discover how to truly discern the Lord’s body and blood. It teaches you what the two elements truly represent and why that’s of great significance to you as a believer. It encourages you to take communion often as the king – priest you are. You don’t need a member of the clergy to enjoy this wonderful gift of grace.
We enjoy partaking in Holy communion celebrating the finished work of Jesus on the cross. It is a gift. A grace gift. Jesus’ sacrifice for us made it all possible for us to enjoy the benefits partaking in Holy Communion affords us. Holy Communion is a universal part of many church services regardless of denomination. That makes it very relevant in today’s society. But I am of the opinion that it is one of the least understood acts of worship that we participate in on a regular basis.
My book, Holy Communion The Blessing That Heals is different from other books that may be out there like it because it is birthed from my personal experiences as a Christ follower. Much study, prayer, and dependence on Holy Spirit was essential to its completion. It will challenge what you have been taught and believed about taking communion. You will however come away knowing its purpose once for all. After reading my book, you will not be able to partake in communion with the same mind set as before.
I encourage you as you partake in Holy Communion to meditate on just what the elements mean for you as a believer. Doing that can get very emotional. You will get a real sense of just how much Abba and our Savior loves you.
